How do I clean my bento lunch box

1. Daily cleaning: Wash the bento box after each use with warm, soapy water using a soft sponge or cloth.

2. Separate parts: Remove the inner tray and silicone lid insert before washing.

3. Rinse thoroughly: Make sure all soap is removed to avoid residue.

4. Air dry completely: Allow all parts to dry fully before reassembling to prevent mould or odours.

5. Dishwasher safe: Most bento boxes are top-rack dishwasher safe. Please ensure you check your dishwasher’s temperature, as extremely hot settings can warp bento items. To extend the life of your bento and preserve the artwork, it’s best to hand wash the outer shell. 
   The tray and silicone lid insert can be safely placed in the dishwasher.

6. Avoid harsh cleaners: Do not use bleach, harsh chemicals, or abrasive scrubbers, as they can damage the materials.

Optional tip: If there’s any lingering smell, wiping the box with a 1:1 mixture of water and vinegar can help neutralise odours.
